OUTREACH & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Seeking an Exceptionally Engaging and Captivatingly Creative Communications & Fundraising Phenom! Reporting to and partnering with the Development Director, the Outreach & Development Specialist will: assist/lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and provision of culturally/demographically specific community needs assessments, outreach, and engagement materials, initiatives, and activities to raise awareness of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse; create communications content and documents i.e. social media posts, newsletters, annual reports, donation requests, donor thank-you letters, and annual giving campaigns; lead in-kind donation intake, information management, and data entry; assist grant research, coordination, writing, reporting, and management; assist/lead volunteer applications, intake, coordination, and supervision; be responsible for donor/donation data entry and management; and assist/lead fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work required.

HOUSING ADVOCATE
The Housing Advocate is responsible for assessing and educating all VSS' client's housing needs. The case manager provides supportive services and seeks to advocate for clients as needed. Utilizing Trauma Informed Care principles and a Housing First approach, the Housing Case Manager will facilitate on-going communication between the household, housing authorities, landlords, and community programs and partners. The Housing Advocate will also help clients learn budgeting and social interaction skills to support housing retention and stability. Supportive services include but are not limited to; completing forms, coordinating and providing transportation related to securing temporary or permanent housing, assistance with moving, and monthly home monitoring.
